Webinar for Psychologists and Psychiatrists: "Fundamentals of Evidence-Based Internal Family Systems Therapy"
Updated: June 2026.

We invite you to a webinar on “Fundamentals of Evidence-Based Internal Family Systems Therapy”.
The webinar will take place on September 26 at 20:30 MSK.
The webinar is designed primarily for psychologists and psychiatrists.
At the webinar, mental health professionals will learn about Internal Family Systems (IFS) — one of the leading evidence-based approaches to psychological care, developed by Richard Schwartz. This method has proven effective in treating anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress, and trauma.
According to the theory behind the method, people have a harmonious, radiant core — the Self — that does not need to be built, developed, or healed. It is always “healthy” and present in everyone. However, expressions of this harmonious essence can be overshadowed by numerous “parts of personality,” or “subpersonalities,” that actively take over in its place.
The purpose of these “parts” is to protect a person from trauma, pain, and danger that once caused harm. Unfortunately, for the most part they are overdeveloped and poorly aligned with present-day reality. Their activity prevents a person from feeling their core and acting from it.
The good news is that through therapy, a person can “negotiate” with their “parts” so they release long-awaited mental space for their harmonious core.
The webinar will be led by Katerina Markova:
cognitive-behavioral therapist, creator of the world’s first children’s psychological support project based on digital CBT and avatar therapy, Animago,
creator and lead instructor of cognitive-behavioral therapy courses at Moscow State University,
member of the International Association of Cognitive Therapists and the American Psychological Association.
We look forward to seeing you!
